5 minutes self introduction: I was born in Hong Kong in the 70’s. Studied Swire School of Design in 1990-92, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Studied 7 years in Japan with Monbusho national scholarship. In 1997 obtained Bachelor degree (architecture and design) in KIT, Kyoto, Japan and graduated in the same school in 1999 with a MSc degree(architecture and design). I am trained as architect / designer. Since 1999 I have lived in Rotterdam, Holland. After working as a freelance assistant exhibition curator in NAi for a very short while, I started design studio POONBERG with ex-partner in 2000, and then galerie POONBERG (modern art gallery) in 2006. I left POONBERG with pride in 2009 and started independent creative studio ponpoon and multitasking... *under the name ponpoon I am a multitasker, working collaboratively with artist, designer, performer, architect and writer. ponpoon is at this moment busy with website engineering. Graphic, DTP and idendity branding is part of the job. As originally an architect I am passionate for architecture and landscape design. In fact all kinds of spacial and visual design can thrill me. After years of working with artists and visual arts I become also very sensitive for contemporary art scene and it’s presentation. That makes me also a special someone to work with in art projects. I am simply standing-by for any kinds of collaborative work, or curator work in art / architectural / Chinsese / Japanese / cultural related context. Even just simply a small graphic design or illustration commission; translation...
